Hope, coloured Green

The voters of Gorton and Denton have given added relevance to the 'Make Hope Possible' events happening soon in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Hannah Spencer had a very good win at the Manchester by-election for the UK parliamentary seat, even if we need to register the fact that under half of those who had the right to vote took up this opportunity.

At the 'Make Hope Possible' evenings, Caroline Lucas, who was the first MP for the Green Party in England, will be in conversation with journalist Adam Ramsay, covering issues from how to counter the far-right (and the related question of how to promote progressive and inclusive forms of national and social belonging) and challenges, directions and resources for progressive political actors in these increasingly interesting times.

Make Hope Possible is a new collective, powered by Democratic Left Scotland with the aim of transforming politics in our country by bringing people together, developing ideas and telling compelling stories. Sign up to the mailing list by clicking here.
