Campaigning for a better nation

Saturday 25 October will see a march in Edinburgh by supporters of the Scotland Deserves Better campaign.

In the run-up, there's a series of public meetings underway, from Dumfries to Dundee, Edinburgh to Glasgow, and online as well.

The campaign focuses on simple demands from better jobs 'with fair conditions and wages that pay the bills' and 'better investment for life's essentials - like affordable homes, good public transport, a thriving natural environment, and strong public services'.

It's broadly supported, by the EIS, Oxfam, Shelter Scotland and the Church of Scotland amongst others.
