The team who produce Scottish Left Review are having a wee event In Edinburgh on the evening of Tuesday 14th October (click here for details), and there's an open invitation to anyone interested in the issues that that will be covered.
The organisers invite you to 'come and join writers and readers of the Scottish Left Review, Scotland’s radical magazine, for the launch of the latest issue: the first of SLR’s 25th anniversary year.
'We’ll start the evening with discussion about the prospects and priorities of the left. With debate heating up about new parties both in Scotland and south of the border, and with a Holyrood election on the horizon, is the end of 2025 the time for a big parliamentary push, or do the hopes and perils of our world demand a different energy and focus?
'Then we’ll hear from other contributors to our broad-ranging issue – with insights and reflections on the radical Clydesiders who rewrote the history of slavery, the software that is changing warfare, and the Jews resisting the genocide in Palestine'.
The 'time for a party' event takes place at Edinburgh's excellent Lighthouse Bookshop.
