The STUC has launched its Manifesto for the 2026 Scottish Parliament Elections.
The manifesto, ‘Workers Demanding Better’, sets out demands on investment in public services, high quality jobs, and a proper industrial strategy. You can view the Manifesto here.

Alongside the manifesto launch, the STUC have organised two lunchtime webinars, in partnership with the Wellbeing Economy Strategy Group and Tax Justice Scotland, on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Details and links to register are below.

STUC Industrial Strategy Webinar

Scotland has lost 130,000 manufacturing jobs since the advent of the Scottish Parliament and the loss of jobs at Grangemouth and Mossmorran further erode Scotland’s industrial base. This webinar will consider what steps the next Scottish Parliament should take to develop a proper Industrial Strategy to create high-quality jobs and meet our social and environmental needs.

Scotland’s public services are at breaking point. Austerity, the pandemic, a cost-of-living crisis and an ageing population are putting unprecedented strain on demand. This webinar will consider a worker-led approach to reform, kicking out the profiteers extracting wealth from outsourcing, and raising taxes to properly fund our public services.
